The Sims Sells 100,000,000 Copies
So, Rod Humble announces today that The Sims sold 100,000,000 copies worldwide. That’s a ton of freaking copies. Who would’ve thought a game that is based around satisfying your Sims’ needs and aspirations, building homes, and trying on different clothes would generate that many sales. Some people criticize EA for their lack of innovation and their efforts to continuously coming out with new versions of the exact same game. Despite what critics say, EA and Maxis have really hit a goldmine with this game. Imagine selling 100,000,000 copies at $20 or $30 each. No wonder they keep coming out with new expansion packs and stuff packs for The Sims. Heck, I would do the same thing if I was EA. As a thank you to its fans, The Sims will be giving a free downloadable outfit for their Sims.
